Ancient Greeks	Another BBC site. Great for the Year 5 and 6 topic of the Ancient Greeks or anyone interested in history.

Around the World in 80 Days	This site features Around the World in 80 Days, by Jules Verne. Study the map and play the game.

Art Attack	Art Attack! Loads of ideas and instructions from the television show.

BBC Revisewise	Key Stage 1 and 2 revision help. Games and activities.

CGP revision	The CGP study and revision books are familiar to many already: especially those of us with older children. This site has interactive revision activities for each Key Stage. The revision timetable is aimed at secondary school pupils not primary!

Children in WW2	Find out what it was like to be a child in World War 2.

Crick Primary School Interactive Activities	A selection of fun interactive maths, Literacy and science activities. You need Multimedia Flash Player. You can download this from a link on this site if necessary.

Earth and Beyond	Start here if you are looking for ideas for your Solar System project. The links page is also very useful.

Engineering Interactive	An interactive learning resource linked to the National Curriculum - great games to play while learning about science. Engineering Interact is a resource produced by the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. The site aims to teach children about science in a fun and interesting way, and promote the subject of engineering. It is aimed at 9-11 year olds.

Global Eye	This is a 'magazine' type site written for schools. It covers many issues to do with development around the world. There is a Primary School section . Don't forget to look at the Back Issues and Index if you are looking for a specific country or issue; such as Tourism, Water, Mountains, Hurricanes etc. There is usually a competition for children to enter too.

Harper Collins children's books	Lots of info about books, authors, characters, resources and competitions. Take a look! Why not sign up to the newsletter to keep up-to-date about the latest children's books? Fun downloads including bookmarks. There is a parent's page too.

Home School Maths	This is an American site, it comes with a warning that some of the methods of calculating or vocabulary may not be the same as those we use in school. The 'long-division as repeated subtraction' is worth looking at if you are unsure of this method.

Kids Nine planets	An excellent site for project work!

Maths Zone	Lots of interactive maths activities to challenge you.

Mathsphere	This site has some great free maths resources for school and home use. There are lots of maths games that can be printed off and played in school or at home.

NASA Kids	A NASA site dedicated to children - adults will enjoy it too. The latest NASA News, games, projects and many more items of interest.

National Geographic for Kids	LOADS of games, puzzles, Harry Potter Brain Teaser, Interactive games...

NRICH	Mathematics Club that has lots of maths puzzles, games and articles for Key Stage 1 though to Key Stage 5.

Number Gym	This free site is committed to the creation of excellent numeracy software, designed to develop core numeracy concepts and skills. You need Flash to run this. Flash can be downloaded free.

Show Me	Show Me is a non-commercial website for children aged 4 to 11. It showcases the best interactive games, activities and teaching resources generated by the UK's museums, galleries, science centres and heritage sites.

Woodlands Junior School	Loads of interactive activities for a wide variety of topics. Lots of fabulous maths activities - excellent for revision.

World Fact Book	The CIA World Fact Book. This is an excellent resource for Geography projects. Maps, facts etc. It is updated often. Although it is not a site specifically aimed at children it is accessible and would be very useful for Year 5 and 6 geographical research.

Wunderground - Weather	This is the home page for Wunderground Weather (Underground weather). An amazing site, photos, info, weather around the world.
